First Online Customer Orders Again!

August 24th, 2011

There are certain names I will probably never forget. One of those names is from the very first customer who placed an order for ViaBoxes on our website on July 23, 2005. It was very exciting to see the order come through. I wish there were a way we could have framed our first one dollar bill, but I did keep the printed email receipt for a long time.

Since that first order, we have sold over 20,000 ViaBoxes and connectable accessories to families in all 50 states across the country. Inspired by the natural messiness of children, ViaBoxes were originally designed as toy boxes.  The site at the time was called viatoybox.com, but as our kids have grown up and their needs have changed, our original ViaBoxes have been used for more than just toys.

Original ViaToyBox

Just like the very first ones we shipped from the garage, our multi-functional real wood storage cubes are made with the same high quality birch plywood and eco-friendly paints and finishes. Since then, we have improved the ViaBoxes by adding more useful accessories, like Inside Shelves, Drawers and Racks, and offering them in other finishes, like Honey and Espresso.

We are grateful and encouraged when our customers return to order again because that’s the big idea behind ViaBoxes. You can use them for a long time and in so many ways because they are built with durable materials to outlast childhood. Plus, you can grow your furniture by connecting additional ViaBoxes and accessories. So, be confident in our little known company and our products. In six years, you may be ready to buy more, too. Thank you, Gerald, we really appreciate it!

Craft Storage Solution for Yarn

August 9th, 2011

For all those DIY’ers that need a place to store craft supplies, like yarn, here is a great solution. Stack and connect ViaBoxes and then add some X-Racks to divide everything.

And, yes, you are seeing triple. I just thought it looked so much neater with more colors. Plus, arranging nine ViaBoxes like this can really provide a lot of storage for all your artistic supplies.

Long Shelf with Six ViaBoxes

July 29th, 2011

Two customers sent us photos of their unique storage sets. Here are two great examples of using a Long Shelf with 6 ViaBoxes. The Long Shelf (and the Short Shelf, too)  securely connects through the sides of the ViaBoxes and gives you additional storage space. The Long Shelf is the same width as two ViaBoxes, and the Short Shelf is the same as one ViaBox.

2 Plus 2 With Shelves for Storage

July 27th, 2011

We all know that two plus two is four, of course, and with four ViaBoxes you can do a lot. The bottom row of ViaBoxes could have colorful shaped fronts with easy access for kids toys and shoes. The upper sections could have Inside Shelves for other furnishings and books.

Plus, if you wanted to (re)arrange those another way you could split them up. Create a storage bench or toy box over here and a shelving unit over there. It’s really quite simple how you can move them around like that. It’s as easy as 2 plus 2.

Backed Into a Corner

June 20th, 2011

Connecting Short Shelves or Long Shelves allows you to stack ViaBoxes in the corner and make use of good space. This sort of configuration can help you turn the corner on getting your space organized. A storage system like this is great for toy storage, bookshelves, and so much more.

They work really well in a closet, too. Stack the functional storage cubes all the way up to the ceiling. Folded clothes fit perfectly inside. You can even add a Closet Rod for hanging clothes.

Two Tone Wood Wine Rack

June 15th, 2011

The Natural finish really looks sharp with accessories in another wood tone, like these Espresso Doors. These four ViaBoxes can also be arranged other ways, plus you can keep adding to this as your wine collection grows. And the ViaBoxes are so deep that the X-Racks shown above can also be installed behind the Doors.
